With the addition of silicone outlet products we believe you can never have too much heat protection from the turbochargers. With that said we have developed this manifold cover giving Silicone products yet another barrier from very hot Turbo Manifolds. Fortunately the OEM manifolds are very well constructed via a double wall steel insulated air gap design (a very expensive production method), but this product again provides another layer of insulate protection. Constructed of SS304 material it is then bent and seam welded to keep the product as rigid as possible. This product is optioned as part of our RB N54 High Flow Silicone outlet package, but due to numerous requests we have decided to offer it a la carte as well.

Note 1:

In order to install this product you must remove your OEM heat shield which also supports your wastegate solenoids, meaning when this product is utilized you will need to consider a method to mount the solenoids afterwards. This said we would suggest our RB Solenoid mounting bracket if you do not wish to make your own customized mounting solution for the solenoids.

Note 2:

If RHD (Right Hand Drive) we offer another version of this same shield with clearances for the Steering shaft, so please specify if you are RHD so that we can get you the correct part. The heat shield is compatible with 1,3, 5, Z4 Series; but if ordering the wastegate solenoid bracket you must specify 5 series (as it uses another version of the bracket).
