A Stitch in Time is an original coloured pencil drawing inspired by the quiet nostalgia of a well loved sewing tin.
We all seem to have one, or know someone who does. A biscuit tin that no longer holds biscuits, but instead becomes home to cotton reels, buttons, pins, and small practical treasures gathered over time.
My grandma had one, and when I was little I loved taking everything out and putting it all back in again. It felt like opening a small family archive. A collection of useful things, and things that carried the memory of being made and mended by hand.
Created slowly and meticulously in coloured pencil, the original drawing took over 120 hours to complete and is one of my most ambitious pieces to date.
A one-of-a-kind artwork for lovers of sewing, memory, handmade rituals, and the small domestic objects that hold more meaning than they first appear to.

This drawing pairs beautifully with a natural timber frame or a simple white mat, allowing the delicate pencil details to remain the focus.
