This is also extremely pretty with an emphasis on red pinot fruit and a hint of forest floor on the nose that leads to rich, intense and precise flavors that possess ample punch and vibrancy on the complex and moderately tannic finish. While this is delicious and classy, I would be inclined to drink the ’04 Corton over the first 10 years of its life (even though it will survive much longer) as I’m not sure that the fruit will ultimately outlast the structure. In short, a wine I would drink for its fruit and not cellar too long. 90/2010+
