 1. d.Mistify Adult occlusal mirror

This is the largest of the d.Mistify mirror family, measuring 75mm in its widest diameter and the most utilised.

The mirror is used in conjunction with the d.Mistify ALD unit and is affixed by sliding the base of the mirror into the backing place  of the device.

This mirror has been designed for most patients to easily capture all of the occlusal areas of the teeth and palatal area in the maxilla teeth and top of the tongue in the mandible.

It’s length generally allows for all teeth to be captured in one image, including the wisdom teeth. The width can also accommodate most arch forms.

The mirror features a centreline for orientation purposes and 3 radial arcs to provide easy depictions of arch form discrepancy.

The mirror should be positioned with the side with these markings on the top in the maxilla, underneath in the mandible and adjacent to the LED display.

 2. d.Mistify Child occlusal mirror 

This is the smaller of the d.Mistify occlusal mirror family, measuring 65mm in its widest diameter and utilised in smaller adults and adolescents where mouth opening is limited.

The mirror is used in conjunction with the d.Mistify ALD unit and is affixed by sliding the base of the mirror into the backing slot of the device.

This mirror has been designed for patients to capture all of the occlusal surfaces of the teeth and palatal area in the maxilla  and teeth and top of the tongue in the mandible.

It’s length generally allows for all teeth to be captured in one image, including the wisdom teeth. The width can also accommodate most arch forms.

3. d.Mistify Y-Shaped occlusal mirror (Arch Mirror)

This patented mirror has been exquisitely engineered, measuring 62mm in its widest diameter and is utilised in patients who find any contact of the larger mirrors on their palate or their tongue to be an issue.

The mirror is used in conjunction with the d.Mistify ALD unit and is affixed by sliding the base of the mirror into the backing slot of the device.

This mirror has been designed for patients to capture all of the occlusal surfaces of the  teeth in the maxilla and teeth in the mandible.

It’s length generally allows for all teeth to be captured in one image, including the wisdom teeth. The width can also accommodate most arch forms.

 4. The d.Mistify Straight Mirror 

The Straight Mirror is the larger of the straight mirrors, with a dimension of 38mm in diameter.  The mirror is very much of a multi-purpose device, capturing half an arch (either maxillary or mandibular) with exquisite clarity and ease of use.

The mirror is used in conjunction with the d.Mistify ALD unit and is affixed by sliding the base of the mirror into the backing slot of the device.

The mirror also is deigned to capture the patients’ bite relationship, areas on the cheeks and soft palate or other areas of 3 to 4 teeth.

This mirror is often utilised to focus more closely on areas of concern that may have been depicted by the occlusal mirrors.

The Straight mirror is highlighted on one side by millimetre notations on the length and breadth which aids in the verification of size for any areas of interest.

5. The d.Mistify Site Specific Mirror

The Site Specific Mirror is the smallest of all of the d.Mistify mirrors, with a dimension of just 27mm in diameter.  The mirror is used to capture  high resolution images of areas of concern or particular interest as its diminutive size allows easy access.

The mirror is used in conjunction with the d.Mistify ALD unit and is affixed by sliding the base of the mirror into the backing slot of the device.

The mirror  is also ideal to capture the patients’ bite relationship, areas on the cheeks and soft palate or other areas of 1 to 2 teeth.

This mirror is also well suited for use with paediatric patients and those with heightened gag reflex.

Cleaning: Can be sterilized by autoclaving or cleaned in the dishwasher for home use.
