As a Londoner, I love exploring streets (especially very old streets) where you can’t quite see what’s around the corner and you never quite know what you will find. On one of my walks I found Ironmonger Lane, which is a narrow one way street and has had this name since around the 12th Century. Ironmonger Lane runs between Gresham St and Old Jewry, not too far from The Guildhall. I have a fascination with timepieces and I’ve included a reference to it in this "Ironmonger Lane". I think of the passing of time and how important it is for me to use it wisely, explore new frontiers and see where the path might lead but also remember how I came to be where I am and the memories along the way. And who knows what stories and memories lie in Ironmonger Lane?
