Inky, bright-rimmed ruby. Ripe red and blue fruit, cola, potpourri, vanilla and a pungent floral note on the primary nose; a peppery element adds spicy lift. Plush black raspberry, cherry liqueur and spicecake flavors display fine definition and become livelier with air. The supple, persistent finish features a suave candied violet note, and pliant tannins add shape and gentle grip. This wine, which is made from de-stemmed fruit, is sourced from a one-hectare piece in Côte Rozier and is raised for 18 months in new oak barrels. -- Josh Raynolds
