The succulent and sleek middleweight flavors are delicious, intense and well-detailed but not especially dense before culminating in a bone-dry, lemon and linear finale that isn’t skinny but it’s presently a bit lean. Montrachet typically fleshes out substantially with bottle age and this should do that as well but it’s not clear that there is necessarily better potential here compared to either the Criots or the Bâtard.
