The shell of the Series 7 chair is crafted from pressure-moulded beech veneer and comprises nine layers. The base, made from 14mm steel tubes, features legs discreetly mounted to a circular disc beneath the seat, enhancing the clean, minimalist aesthetic of Jacobsen's design. The base is available in six different finishes, while the shell comes in 16 colours. Thanks to its superior quality, durability, and flexible design, the chair offers maximum comfort despite its slender appearance. The Series 7 Chair is lightweight and robust, and can be stacked up to 12 chairs high in a compact tower.

The Series 7 Dining Chair is available with clear-lacquered wood and coloured Ash wood. It also comes in a front-upholstered and fully-upholstered version.
