This elegant late 18th-century floral textile is based on original Robe à la Polonaise designs from the 1780s. The flowing garlands and delicate blossoms create a balanced rhythm across the surface, well suited for full-scale historical garments as well as refined decorative use.
The colour palette has been adjusted into a harmonious “modern coloured” interpretation, reducing harsher tones while preserving the character of the original composition. The result is a fabric that reads authentically historical while remaining soft and wearable.
Perfect for Robe à l’Anglaise, petticoats, fitted bodices, and other 18th-century garments. Also suitable for historical interiors such as cushions, panels, or light upholstery where a refined floral expression is desired.
The design is based on documented late 18th-century textiles preserved in museum collections. This version translates the original floral composition into a practical format for garment construction while maintaining the visual language of the period.
