The purity and sweetness of this dress evokes Natalie Wood as Maria in West Side Story!

This mid-to-late 1950's dress is wispy and joyful with its light, pale sunny yellow color sheer swiss dot fabric (the fabric is flocked with teeny tiny white velvety dots -many of these style fabric garments have lost the flocking over time due to washing and wear, however, this fabric is completely intact because the flocking was kept on the inside or 'wrong' side). The bodice has a modest neckline, is sleeveless, with a lovely ruched center front seam and petite bow and piping accented waist line. Skirt is flared, semi-circle or 1/4 circle cut and approximate knee-length. Entire dress is lined with a brighter sunny yellow, super shiny woven acetate fabric (see last pic) and has a metal center back zipper, with metal hook & threaded eye closures. Only label is a Union-style tag, that has faded, but 'lot' can be seen. Overall condition is absolutely excellent, near perfection, with the lining fabric peeking out at some places at skirt hem but no flaws to note (please see pics).
