While some situations call for weather-resistant, heavy-duty pants that stand up to briars, brush and abrasion, our Swiftwater Rain Pants are engineered for active uses requiring lightweight, waterproof protection with minimal weight that pack into tight spaces.

Weighing just eighteen ounces, it’s easy to stow these rain pants in a backpack or upland hunting vest. The 2.5-layer shell fabric is constructed with tough, lightweight 3.8-oz. ripstop nylon with a waterproof membrane laminated to its interior. The half-layer is a mesh grid printed on the interior that protects the membrane from abrasion and wear. To ensure reliable waterproof performance they’re fully seam-sealed. During active, high-exertion use, breathability is just as important as waterproofness, because wet is wet, regardless of where the moisture comes from. The Swiftwater’s waterproof membrane is full of microscopic pores that allow vapors and heat to escape, yet keep out rain and snow.

To ensure that water stays on the outside, water-resistant AquaGuard® zippers from YKK® are used throughout. 8” zippers at the cuffs allow donning over boots also secured with rubberized snaps. The single rear and two front pockets, as well as the fly, also use water-resistant zippers and the elastic waistband secures with a rubberized, corrosion resistant snap. The elastic waistband features extra-wide belt loops for added security.
