Weaving of this dupatta is done meticulously and painstakingly by the master weavers of Orissa.In this process of bandha kala akin to the tie and dye, the weaver first dyes the yarns and then prepares the time consuming precision design by tie and dye process post which meticulous weaving is undertaken. The process may take days/month to complete an extraordinary dupatta usally made from cotton, silk or combination of both yarns.

This elegant weave seeks inspiration for colours from the faces of Lord Jagannath Temple and patterns usually includes geometric shapes, conch, shell, wheels, flowers, birds or animals. And to have all these shapes via a tie and dye process is what makes this weave masterpeice. The weaving authenticity can be checked on the reverse of the dupatta as it has unfinished threads. This product comes without tassels. In case you need them done, do let us know.
