This early and collectable 1970s Biba sequin top is presented in superb vintage condition. This halter-neck top is tight fitting with a stretch finish allowing for a flexible fit. Sequins are sewn directly onto a stretch cloth created from weaving elastic into a wool knit. There are no fastenings or lapels so this piece simply pops over the head. The sequins are black and iridescent and therefore shine with a rainbow assortment of hues when they catch the light. This disco-ready top is unlined.

This piece is just as wearable today as it was over 50 years ago. This dark gold fabric label was the second Biba label and only in use from 1970 to 1972. All original vintage Biba sizing runs small but this piece offers about 2 cm of flexibility on the below measurements due to the stretchy nature of the fabric. Condition wise, this is in excellent vintage condition and is well preserved with no missing sequins. There is no composition label. We estimate a best fit for sizes UK 6-8 or US 2-4, same as our model who reported this was a good fit.
