This is a Kodomo Hoodie made out of vintage kimono. Tomesode, one of the highest form of kimono is made out of silk and is hand-painted by artisans.  

The design in this kimono is a Yuzen painting. It’s a resist-dying art that started from the 17th century. Artisans paint on the silk using resist paste resulting to vibrant painting of mostly nature, flowers and sceneries.

EACH COLOR is applied separately. Each layer is dried before the new layer of colors is applied next; a Yuzen-painted kimono takes months to finish! 

It is luxury within your reach. Etsuka also designed this piece to be friendly for plus-size and mid-size ladies.

• Usually, they are hand-painted by higher-level artisans. 
• Also, premium fabric means they are "newer" or the previous owner has a higher status in the society.

• All products are made from vintage kimonos. We chose kimonos that are beautiful and wearable. However, some kimonos might have small stains that are a product of storage. We deemed these, if there is any, is either negligible or adds to the beauty of the kimono.

Shipping and Returns

• The Kimono Fabric is shipped from Japan and is upcycled in the Philippines. Therefore, all orders will ship from the Philippines.
• Wait time: 1-3 weeks after payment
• Product return should be done 48 hours after receiving the product. Returned products should be in its prime condition.
• We cannot entertain resizing request. If and when we decided to entertain a client request for repair, the client agrees to pay the shipping of the item back to our office and the shipping of the new item back to the client’s address
