Slip this retro hand painted silk funnel-neck silk midi dress on and you will feel like a walking piece of art! It was made by a local Californian designer in the late 1960’s - early 1970’s for a runway show. It boasts a slinky sheath tailored fit with beautiful and flattering style lines. The outer fabrication is 100% silk and has a beautiful abstract floral pattern in tones of amber, yellow, olive green, and coral. It is fully lined with the lining being connected by hand chain stitches at the inner hem so the lining will stay in place and remain comfortable throughout the day / evening. The design has short sleeves with no shoulder seams for an extra sleek look. The designer brilliantly added a seam under the sleeve instead. And let’s talk about the neckline! …The neckline is finished with a wide funnel-neck turtle neck that connects to the bodice in an angular seam. It closes via zipper and hooks / eyes down the center back. There is no sizing label due to the custom made nature, but it fits a modern day Medium.
