This very unusual, intricately woven top was created in the 1920s. Beautiful, and a very-early example of its kind, this knitted top is crafted from a mix of teal-blue and burnt-orange check to a tiny checked pattern - revealed up-close. This piece features stunning crochet sleeves and a crochet hem - which allows a peekaboo flash of skin. The elegant neckline is wide which reveals the collarbones. The waist is detailed with a cord to tie to fit, and this is finished with two pretty tassles in coordinating tones. 

This exceptional piece is very rare and in excellent condition except for a few small repairs which have been expertly repaired by our in-house tailor (see photographs). It has no size or composition labels so please check the below measurements carefully.
