A PICTURESQUE PLATEAU BAG

This beautiful beaded plateau bag is a vintage find, dating back to the first quarter of the 20th century.  The bag itself was crafted from buckskin, and then intricately hand-beaded with differing images on either side, essentially creating a “reversible” plateau bag. The focal point of this little beauty is the vibrant floral pictorial hand-beaded in vivid pinks, reds, and greens, with fringe accents.  It’s simply stunning -- a one-of-a-kind mid-century collector’s piece.
