Swiveling Mitering Head Keeps the Workpiece Stationary

The head on the J-7040M swivels independently from 0° to 45° while the base remains fixed. Your material stays clamped and in position throughout the entire angle change. This removes the need to reposition and re-clamp stock between cuts, which keeps your workflow moving and your cut angles consistent.

Cast Iron Blade Wheels Maintain Cutting Momentum

The 14-inch cast iron blade wheels carry the blade steadily through cuts in dense material. Cast iron resists flex and absorbs vibration better than lighter wheel materials. The result is a smoother cut surface and less blade deflection when working through thick cross-sections.

Six-Point Blade Guide System Controls Blade Tracking

Cam follower bearings mounted on eccentric shafts are positioned on both sides of the blade. Two load bearings on a pivot shaft work alongside carbide pads and side bearings to distribute cutting load evenly across the blade. This setup keeps the blade stable and on track through the full depth of each cut.

Hydraulic Downfeed System Controls Cut Pressure

The downfeed is managed by a dual counterbalance spring system working in combination with a hydraulic cylinder. Together they control the rate at which the head feeds into the material. This prevents the blade from forcing through the cut too fast, which reduces blade wear and keeps cut quality consistent across different material sizes.
