Description

The SAFI family is the expression of passion for handmade patterns. Each skirt is made by only one person, so the hand and crocheting style is absolutely even. The skirt is full of movement and amplitude.
The 'Pomelo' thread was specially designed at the ESCVDO Studio to match by the colors of garments chosen for traditional Afro Peruvian dances, the inspiration for the MILAGROS collection. It mixes ESCVDO’s tangerine with colonial rose, a historical colortone recovered from colonial times.

Sustainability

ESCVDO believes in social and environmental responsibility. All our pieces are made under our sustainability, traceability and fair trade policies.
The Organic Pima cotton is locally sourced from the coastal region of Pisco, Peru, and it adheres to the highest fair-trade standards. Our supplier LA COLONIAL,  is certified SGS ISO 9001, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and GOTS.
The specific cotton strain used for our garments provides the longest fibers available, yielding an exceptionally soft product.

Who made your clothes?

Our SAFI skirt is made in collaboration with Knitting Hope, an initiative by Mision Huascaran to train and empower women from rural low income areas. Currently, 137 artisans, are part of the team behind some of ESCVDO’s signature pieces.
