Magenta and maroon handwoven sambalpuri cotton ikat saree from the weavers of Sambalpur, Odisha. The pattern on the saree evolves through a process of dyeing the warp and weft threads prior to inter-weaving. This technique of ikat weaving on a traditional handloom is a beautiful art of poetry on the loom. This saree has paper designs woven beautifully on the body. Rudraksha designs adorn the saree border. Birds and tree motifs designed on the pallu add to the beauty of this handloom saree. Saree comes with matching blouse piece.
