The colour worn at temple gates and on celebration mornings.
About this set
Kesari wears the colour of every Indian celebration. A Mughal-era bouquet of carnations and marigolds rises from a single stem, framed by a printed vine border and striped outer edge — the format borrowed from the rumal, the square cloth with a centred motif that Indian printers have made for centuries. Here it's cream ground, marigold-yellow flowers, rose-orange carnations, deep green leaves. Warm and celebratory — the set for daylight meals, festival dinners, mornings when something good is about to happen.
Each piece is hand-stamped from carved wooden blocks in our Jaipur studio. The print pattern repeats across mat and napkin so the table reads as one considered set, not a collection of loose pieces. Slight variation in print and colour is the natural signature of hand work; a person made it, not a machine.
In 100% pure cotton.
