• This is an extremely rare Chanel whose twin walk the runway and was worn by Devon Aoki for the Fall 2001 Chanel presentation. 
• Made under the creative direction Karl Lagerfeld 
  
• This is also the exact dress that was worn by Kaley Cuoco to the 2025 Golden Globes.
• The fabric of the dress is absolutely incredible and is a testament to the high attention to fabric that Karl had. It is a synthetic and silk mix that is lightly padded and then embroidered to get the quilted effect that you see.
• The embroidery combines a white thread and a silver metallic thread to create overlapping Chanel Camellia flowers that cover the entire piece. A combination of little white and metallic silver double C logos sit in the centre of each flower so that the entire thing has those famous double Cs over it.
• The dress has wide straps that curve up and over each shoulder. These are set into the bodice and the neckline sits fairly straight across.
• To create the shape of the dress Karl used vertical panels that are shaped so that they widen out by the hem. Four panels make up the front and then there are four more at the back. To create the extensive width and fullness of the skirt, everything would have had to have been pre-planned and pieced together perfectly.
• It is more fitted over the bodice and then curves in at the waist. The skirt widens out extensively from there and is very full. There are two bands of built in stiffening that circle the hip and then another just below the hip. More has been built in all around the inside of the hem. This helps hold the shape of the dress.
  
• Topping this is the prettiest little cape. The cape drapes over your shoulders and snaps to close at the front with hidden set snaps. There is a little touch of what looks like maybe rabbit fur on the very edge of the cape. This could easily be removed if you prefer something without fur and if you prefer it without I can get that removed before sending.
• Both pieces are lined in an ivory silk and are beautifully made. The cape closes with snaps down the front and the dress closes with a hidden set back zipper.
• There are a couple tiny spots where the fabric has yellowed slightly. It is very faint. There is a tiny area on the skirt where the fabric is thinned slightly. There is also wear along the very edge of the hem and the inner edge of the hem is distressed near the back. You do not see these once on but these are mentioned for accuracy. Please see the photos after the label shot. It was worn on the Golden Globe carpet in this exact condition.
