Description:

Blush red and black handwoven sambalpuri cotton ikat saree from the weavers of Sambalpur, Odisha. The pattern for this saree evolves through a process of dyeing the warp and weft threads prior to inter-weaving. This technique of ikat weaving on a traditional handloom is a beautiful art of "poetry on the loom". This saree has small circular motifs and flower ikat motifs woven on the saree body and temple designs are made near both the border. Flower and circular motifs are woven for the pallu by using single ikat technique. Dobby rudraksha border is woven for this saree. This saree comes with matching blouse piece.
