What if my equipment is located in more than one room?

The connections can be used for either emitter blocks (RLIR305) or target blocks (RLIR600 or RLIR505). Having multiple locations for your source equipment is not an issue, so long as there are sufficient sockets available on the hub (RLIR170)

The hub (RLIR170) has 8 8P8C (RJ45) sockets and 8 punch down sockets on it. Does that mean that I can connect up to 16 units?

Yes. You could connect say 2 emitter blocks (RLIR305) and 14 target blocks (RLIR600 or RLIR505).
