A hat so sweet and timeless, it looks lovely in any era!

This little red straw hat may be fairly simplistic, but a close look reveals wonderful details: a short and curved brim wraps 360 degrees around, while the base of the also short crown reveals a velvet-wrapped piping secured offside into a bow. Originally there would have been two of these funny little details: a white seed bead 'bean' or 'butterfly wing' (what do you see?) encrusted by two sparkly rhinestones. It seems one of these got lobbed off at some point and this is the only flaw throughout the hat. Overall the hat looks exceptionally amazing for its age, and this one details of the missing piece isn't super noticeable, but it might also be corrected by moving the 'bean' to the bow center and cutting the longer tie down to match the other -I'm happy to make this small change, upon request with purchase. There are no labels or maker's marks. The inner brim is lined with velvet trim and Petersham ribbon, plus two velvet-wrapped forehead prongs (to keep the hat in place without the use of a hat pin.
