This 1970s striped, light weight knit maxi dress from Lanvin is fabulous! The colors are bright but without being too much and I love how it goes from a classic , almost nautical feel with the cream and navy at the bodice to a riot of colors and texture at the hem. Huge rick rack appliques are set around the hem and these just highlight the already fabulous striped design, The bodice is fitted and scooped at the front and back. Just under the defined waist it is paneled in vertical strips of fabric that release into curved pleats over the hips and then give fullness to the skirt. It has its original belt and is just amazing! Excellent condition!

The bodice is lined in a hand set, nude tissue silk and the skirt is unlined. It closes with a back, painted metal zipper. It has its original tie belt that is composed of two knit belts, each who have metal tips. There is one small dot of a mark on the front near the seam of on of the panel right about where they release into the skirt. Very minor and may come out with another dry clean. I am being pretty picky.
