1980s blue sequinned maxi gown by Casadei, a heritage Italian shoe brand that also briefly forayed into luxury fashion during the 80s and 90s. These collections were retailed in the best US department stores of the day and designs featured in both the television dramas Dynasty and Dallas.

In a striking shade of cobalt blue with a high neck and V shaped front chest panel; the sleeves, like the front panel, are crafted from tulle mesh. The main body of the dress features vertical rows of iridescent sequins interspersed with rows of blue bugle beads. These are backed onto a georgette fabric which was chosen to keep the dress lightweight despite the lavish embellishment. The back is cut in a deep V, featuring an open cut-out trimmed with the same bugle beads and fastens with the original central zip. The shoulders are padded to create a structured silhouette. There is a left thigh slit for extra impact and ease of movement and the inside features an inner slip, cut from a soft blend blue poly fabric. In excellent vintage condition with no issues and very minimal losses. Will fit up to a US 4 or UK 8. Our model is a UK 6-8 and 5ft 4in (163 cm) and this dress fit her well.
