A celebration of colour, our Indian Explorer Padded Jacket was inspired by traditional Indian folk art and storytelling. Bursting with vibrant imagery, from birds and plants to a beautifully illustrated map of India on the back - this design is one of the last of our original jackets, produced in 1993.

The kit includes everything you need to make this unique garment, with the option to keep it simply padded, traditionally quilted, or quilted around the joyful motifs for extra texture and definition. The choice is yours - every version is an adventure to make!

Like all Clothkits padded jackets, this one comes with a delightful secret: a soft toy designed to tuck into each of the patch pockets. These charming companions are hidden treasures, adding a touch of magic to every piece.

Sizing: One kit size has three age ranges printed on it - 1-2 years 3-4 years and 5-6 years.

Cotton Wadding Upgrade: Our padded jacket kits come standard with polyester wadding. However, you have the option to upgrade to a superior cotton wadding if you prefer. The cotton wadding is easier to work with, more environmentally friendly, and we believe it results in a more professional finish.

Ability: This is an intermediate project, some sewing knowledge is recommended.
