These striking Yves Saint Laurent block heeled shoes were designed in the late 1970s to early 1980s - the height of the disco period. Crafted from polished gold leather and accented with silver leather at the heel and along the sole. The insides are finished with crimson leather and soft suede at the ankle, and are debossed with the Yves Saint Laurent logo. The soles state that they are “Made Vero Cuoio Italy” - “vero cuoio” is an Italian phrase which translates as “true leather”.

These towering, iconic shoes have 3.5” heels and are in good to very good vintage condition with some minor flaws attributed to normal wear and tear on shoes of this age. There are a few, very small nicks to the leather heels and a handful of surface scratches - nothing which would be noticed when worn. Labelled and measure as a UK size 6 B, US 8 or IT 39 they are a very narrow fit - we were unable to model these and they seem more an AA width.
