Are your boards coming off the saw rough, uneven, or tough to clean up to a true thickness?
What if you could run stock through a compact planer and get a smooth, predictable finish every time?
Meet the Laguna PX|12, a 12 inch benchtop planer built around the upgraded QuadTec II cutterhead for cleaner cuts and steady performance.
With its four-sided carbide inserts, strong 2 HP motor, and simple feed setup, it brings reliable milling to any small shop.
When your planer gives you consistent results pass after pass, you spend less time fixing mistakes and more time building work you’re proud of.
A benchtop planer made for the craftsman who wants clean cuts, less tearout, and dependable thicknessing.
The PX|12 uses 26 solid carbide inserts arranged in a straight line to handle hardwood grain without pulling or chipping. Each insert has four fresh edges that rotate without special jigs, and the cutterhead runs quieter than traditional straight knives. This gives you clean passes even on tough stock.

The 2 HP universal motor spins the cutterhead at 10,000 RPM, giving the planer enough strength to maintain speed under load. This helps the machine cut smoothly and reduces the chance of burning or uneven spots when working with dense material.
Integrated flip-down extensions stabilize stock as you feed it, helping reduce snipe on both ends. The extra support keeps the workpiece flatter and makes it easier to manage longer or heavier boards during milling.
At just 65 pounds, the PX|12 is easy to move, set up, or store, yet its 12-1/2 inch width capacity and 26 FPM feed speed make it capable of real everyday milling. It fits well in small shops without giving up cut quality or consistency.
