In The Fox Experiment, you will breed your own foxes. In each round you choose a pair of fox parents with certain characteristics. You get those specific trait dice, roll them and try to move them to create complete trait symbols that you then check off on your pup card. You will then receive trait tokens depending on how many traits you have checked off, which you use to upgrade tracks on your personal game board.

At the end of the round, the previous generation of foxes are replaced and all the new pups are moved to the kennel - meaning they become candidates to be chosen as parents in the next round. The game ends after 5 rounds and you will be awarded points by the sponsors (bonuses for final score), studies completed (personal game objectives), if you ever won the friendliest fox award, upgrades on your personal game board and extra tokens. The player with the most points wins!
